He was predeceased by: his parents, Preston Pridgen, Sr. and Nettie Ethel Pridgen; his wife Alice Margorie Jernigan; his sons, Jerry Lee Pridgen and Joseph Allen Pridgen; and his grandson James Stewart Ryans, Jr..

He is survived by: his children, Charles Roscoe Pridgen II of Port Angeles, WA and Sharon Annette Stott of Green River, WY. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and 5 great great grandchildren.
