She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur James and Phyllis James; her siblings, Diane Richardt and Rodney James; her in-laws, Telesforo and Gertrude Valdez; and her granddaughter Taryn Black.
She is survived by: her husband Don Valdez; her daughters, Kimberly Fazzino (Jimmy) and Kristie Black (Kelly); her grandchildren, Raquel Fazzino, Trey Black (Montana) and Teagan Black; her great grandchild Tucker Robinson; her sister Valerie James; and her in-laws, Janice James, Dorothy Montoya, Flo Valdez, Ruth Gallagos, Mable Guerrero (Jesus), Juanita Gill (Donald), Andrew Valdez and Edward Valdez. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
