Though Betty may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Betty touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Alstyne and Mae Van Alstyne; her siblings, Dorothy Van Alstyne and Joe Van Alstyne; her husband Bud Chess; her daughter Diana White; her grandson Bradley Chess; and her son-in-law Don Pierce.
She is survived by: her children, Buck Chess (Jane), Irene Pierce, Maureen Broughton, Ben Chess and Bob Chess (Misty). She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
