He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. Harold Wallace Hunter and Dr. Nadine Denison Hunter; his wife Frances "Fran" Gottlieb Hunter; the mother of his children Diana Stewart Hunter; his grandson Steven Hunter; his great grandchild Raylee Hunter; and his siblings, H. Wallace "Wally" Hunter, Jr., Nadine Hunter and Melville Hunter (Cindy).
He is survived by: his children, Amanda Hunter (Richard Schulte) of Indianapolis, IN., Heather Hunter Smith (Justin) of Indianapolis, IN. and Josiah Wallace "Skip" Hunter Jr.; his stepdaughter Denese Dallas; his grandsons, Gage Hunter (Jessica) and Colin Smith of Indianapolis; his great grandchildren, Silas Hunter of Indianapolis and Nevaeh Eldridge of Indianapolis; his siblings, Sara Swift (Arby) of Port Crane, NY, Martha Stranford (Gerald) of Albuquerque, NM, Helen Hunter, Rev. James Hunter (Jeannine) of Virginia Beach, VA and Rev. Wolcott Hunter (Terry) of New Port Richey, FL; and his niece Michelle Lynn of Pueblo, CO..
