She was predeceased by : her parents, Roy Swearingen and Fern Swearingen; her husband Neil Thorpe; her son Michael Steven; her daughter-in-law Patsy; and her grandchildren, Joshua Foster and Jaime Thorpe.

She is survived by : her children, Joanna (Bob), John and Sharon. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

A memorial service was held on Friday, May 3rd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Wilson Memorial Chapel (1449 S 9th St, Cañon City, CO 81212).
