With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Johnny Carl Shackelford of Castle Rock, Colorado, who passed away on September 13, 2025 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Loyd Walker and Luria Etta Shackelford (Bennett); and his wife Judith. He is survived by: his children, Jeffrey Flores (Theresa) and Jennifer Kelly (Mike); his sister Geneva H. Shackelford Moore; his grandchildren, Ellis Kelly, Michaela Kelly, Lance Kelly and Jacob Flores; his nieces, Barbara Moore and Floretta Moore; and his cousin Carolyn Sue Bennett Elliot (Leonard).
A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, October 22nd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church (2746 Fifth St, Castle Rock, CO 80104). The military honors will be held on Wednesday, October 22nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Pike's Peak National Cemetery (10545 Drennan Road, Colorado Springs, CO 80925).
