Maxine Ferguson Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Maxine Ferguson (Castle Rock, Colorado), born in Atchison, Kansas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 30, 2025 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her daughters, Haley Ferguson and Lauren Ferguson of Zionsville, IN.. She is survived by: her daughter Kathy Fonda (David) of Parker, CO; her grandchildren, Tim Swanson of Englewood, CO, Laura Fitts of Colorado Springs, CO, Melissa Gracik of Ft. Collins, CO and David Fonda Jr. of Laramie, WY.; her son Mark Allen Ferguson (Jayne) of Merrimac, MA; her grandsons, Nicholas Ferguson of Denver and Mark Brandon Ferguson; her stepdaughter Jennifer Pugliese of Derry, NH.; and her son Steven Michael Ferguson (Maureen) of Zionsville, IN.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 20th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the First United Methodist Church of Castle Rock (1200 South St, Castle Rock, CO 80104). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 6th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Smith Family Mortuaries and the Mulvane Cemetery (501 E Louis Blvd, Mulvane, KS 67110).

Donations may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Castle Rock in appreciation of the hours of service and friendship shown to Maxine by the Stephens Ministry at the church.
