He is survived by: his wife Inge Knierim Kurtz; his daughters, Linda Jouet (Joe) and Janet Belter; his grandchildren, Elizabeth Merz, Malorie Young, Alexander Belter (Gloria), Zachary Belter and Matthew Belter; and his great grandchildren, Peyton Merz, Jacob Merz and Annabelle Young.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Olinger Chapel Hill Mortuary & Cemetery (6601 S Colorado Blvd, Centennial, CO 80121). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. A committal service will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM at the same location.
