He is survived by: his wife Lillian Garcia; his son John Garcia (Michelle); his grandchildren, Melissa Busolo (Isaac), Arazeliz, Kaleigha, Jessa, Isaac Isaiah and Isabela Grace; his brothers, Tom D., Gary and Fred Garcia (Teresa); his brother-in-law Jim Sierra; his sisters, Jenny Valdez (Duane), Renee Olmos (Josue) and Marie Ulibarri (Ray); his uncle Pete Garcia (Monica); his brothers-in-law, Joe L. Arellano (Faye), Arthur Arellano (Jeanette "Nena"), Charles Arellano (Marleen) and Lloyd; his sisters, Yvonne Garcia and Shirley Sierra; his sisters-in-law, Debbie Garcia and Lucille Garcia; his nephew Jared Valdez; and his grandchild Jordan Justice Busolo. He is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces, and godchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his name to the SLV Health Oncology/Infusion Center in Alamosa, Colorado.
