As Esmeralda departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Esmeralda may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Esmeralda leaves behind.
She is survived by: her daughters, Rose Aragon (Anthony), Diana Aragon (Richard) and Florence Vigil (Wilfred); and her siblings, Mary Valencia, Esther Manzanares, Glenn Martinez and Alfred Martinez. She is also survived by her 10 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and 10 great-great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and in-laws.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 20th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the Romero Valley Funeral Home Chapel (1407 State Ave, Alamosa, CO 81101). A rosary will be held on Saturday, June 21st 2025 at 12:30 PM at the Sangre de Cristo Catholic Church (511 S Church Pl, San Luis, CO 81152).
