He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Akers and Edna Akers; and his brother-in-law Melvin Cline. He is survived by: his wife Alice Akers; his children, Leslie Akers (Stephanie) of Santaquin, Utah, Dana Pfeifer (Troy) of Green River, Wyoming and Tracy Akers (Crystal) of Cheyenne Wells, Colorado.; his grandchildren, Danisha Olson (Jon), Michael Pfeifer (Monica), Trenton Akers, Shaelyn Wright (Dalton), Rhett Akers (Emily), Nathan Akers (Cameron), Karinne Akers, Jessi Akers and Ella Akers; his great grandchildren, Damien Pfeifer (Nevaeh), Harper Olson, Wilder Wright, Rowdie Wright and Nolan Akers; his great great grandchild Boedin Pfeifer; his nieces, Kathy Dwyer-Keefe and LaVanda Mitchek; and his siblings, Richard Akers (Dorothy), Alice Cline, Vernon Akers (Mary Beth), Pat VanAllen (Larry) and Sharon Aldridge (Don). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
