She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert "Al" Diesslin and Evelyn Diesslin; and her brother Blaine "Butch" Diesslin. She is survived by: her husband Kenneth G. Palmen, Sr.; her children, Kenneth G. "Kenny" Palmen, Jr., Kathryn "Katy" G. Gryboski (Palmen) and John D. Palmen; her grandchildren, Kailey, Tyler Palmen, Samson, Owen, Evelyn Gryboski, Patrick and Clara Palmen; and her siblings, Nancy "Nan" Starzecki, Judy Gift, Mike Diesslin, Cindy "Cyd" Cooper, Lisa Diesslin and Steve Diesslin.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 7th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the First Lutheran Church (4120 E Fountain Blvd, Colorado Springs, CO 80916).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Carol's memory to any of the following: the FLC Memorial Fund (church-related initiatives); or Friends of the Peak or the Rocky Mountain Field.
