He was predeceased by: his parents, Marion Wheeler and Neva Ellen Haynes Wilt; his wife Jeanette Agnes Haller Wilt; and his children, Betty Wilt, Teresa Wilt and Charles "Chuck" Wilt.
He is survived by: his brother Ralph Richard Wilt; and his daughters, Janet Bowerman (Stephen Bowerman) and Ellen Worth (Joseph Worth). He is also survived by seven grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
