He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Leyerle and Violet Leyerle; his wife Martha (Marty); and his sons, Michael (Mike) and Steven (Steve).

He is survived by: his sons, William (Bill) and Darrell (Dean); his daughter-in-law Sandra; his stepdaughter Jan Vining; and his grandchildren, Josh and Sarah.
