Don Leonard Newman Obituary

We bid farewell to Don Leonard Newman of Colorado Springs, Colorado, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on November 1, 2025 at the age of 91. Don touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his son Nevin Newman (Mary Woodard-Newman). He is survived by: his wife Mary Newman; his daughter Nyla Newman; his granddaughter Kiryana Umari; and his stepchildren, Craig Woodard, Alice Stevens, Jane Woodard, Chris Woodard, Larry Woodard, Barbara Brodeur and Cheri Ortega. He is also survived by step-grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Don will be remembered for his legacy with the fire service and his contribution to the California paramedic program, his love of the ocean, his love of dogs, his loyalty to his friends, and his unfailing humor and wit, which were with him until the end.
