With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Karla Rae Steen of Colorado Springs, Colorado, who passed away on May 15, 2025 at the age of 51. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband John Steen; and her father-in-law Julius Ronald Steen. She is survived by: her parents, Carey Appleby and Hazel Appleby; her daughter Abigail Steen; her siblings, Tammi Wilkins (Jaret) and Ryan Appleby (Lauri); her niece Nicole Niehoff (Matt); her great-nieces and great-nephews, Grayson, Natalie and Madelyn; her niece Tanya Hoyt; her great-nieces, Adeline and Evelyn; her mother-in-law Chris Sund; her brother-in-law Mark Steen (Sarah); and her stepmother-in-law Nancy Steen.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 28th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Envoy Church (2025 N Murray Blvd, Colorado Springs, CO 80915).
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
