We are sad to announce that on September 14, 2025, Rita Margaret (Hunke) Crompton of Colorado Springs, Colorado passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph A. Hunke and Theresa Barbara Hunke (Gentrup); her husband Jack Crompton of Mary's Cathedral; her son Mark; and her siblings, Evelyn Leinhard, Ray, Clarence, Dennis and Joseph.

She is survived by: her children, James (Sally) and Cathleen Licht; her grandchildren, Elizabeth Prakash (Sriram), Emily Crompton (Sheena), Scott Licht and Emma Licht; and her great grandchildren, Kiran, Rohan Prakash, Haley Pavlica (Jake) and Keagan McCorkle.

A funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, September 23rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Divine Redeemer Catholic Church (927 N Logan Ave, Colorado Springs, CO 80909).

Memorials may be made to the food pantry at Divine Redeemer Church or the Empty Stocking Fund.
