She is survived by: her husband Leonard Dean Neff; her daughter Dena Ruth; her grandchildren, Emily Rethmeier (Ross), Taylor Owens (Anna), Cole Owens (Ariel), Preston Owens (Lindsey), Aubrey Neff and Neely Neff; her great grandchildren, Blakely, Quade, Campbell, Fallon Rethmeier, Henry, Adler, Abel, Hayden Owens, Isla, Imogen, Jack, Augustine and Preston Owens; and her sister Anita Uphaus (John).

Memorial donations in Vera's memory may be directed to the Watoto Children's Choir.
