She was predeceased by : her son Glenn Pierce (Donna); her stepchildren, Wynona Smart (Joe), Elden Maxwell (Monica) and Melvin Maxwell (Louise); her sisters, Dorothy Tanner (Jim) and Gladys McBee; and her niece Beverly McBee.
She is survived by : her sisters, Dorothy Estalena (Tanner) and Gladys Marie (McBee); her former life partners, Alfred Clifton Pierce and Dr. I. E. Maxwell; her granddaughter Wynona; and her children, Maridell Aileen (Ron), Marissa Marlene (Howard) and Thomas Lindsay (Jaylene). She is also survived by 22 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren and 9 great, great grandchildren.
