Douglas Dee Mowrer Obituary
With solemn reverence, we commemorate Douglas Dee Mowrer of Cortez, Colorado, born in Ramah, New Mexico, whose life came to an end on April 30, 2025 at the age of 83, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Mowrer and Lucille Mowrer; his siblings, Gerald, Glen, Ronny Mowrer and Fannie Marie Mowrer; his daughter Sandra Finch; and his grandchild Thomas Matthew Rice.
He is survived by: his spouse Jean Mowrer; his brother Alan Mowrer (Jean Mowrer); and his children, Karyne Gangwer (Mike), Melanie Rose Rice and Douglas Mowrer (Jovita). He is also survived by 24 grandchildren, and 21 great-grandchildren.
A funeral service was held on Thursday, May 8th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM at the Ertel Funeral Home (42 N Market St, Cortez, CO 81321). A graveside service was held on Thursday, May 8th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at the Summit Ridge Cemetery.
