Norman touched many lives and will be remembered fondly for the moments shared and the memories created. Family, friends, and colleagues extend their love and support during this time. While Norman’s presence will be missed, the influence he had on others will remain. Those who knew him will carry forward memories that reflect his character and spirit.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Burnice Utley and Bertha Utley; and his former wife Imogene Jackson. He is survived by: his daughter Tana Jean Sparks (Tim); his wife Janet; and his son Dewain Utley (Carol). He is also survived by five grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; six siblings; and numerous extended family.
In lieu of flowers a scholarship fund has been established at Dolores State Bank, 744 E. Main in Cortez. Donations may be made payable to the N-I Utley Scholarship Fund to support students pursuing a college or trade school education.
