She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Grover Jr. Umphryes and Betty Gene Umphryes (Laviolette); her children, Kristofer (Maddie), Kiley Whited (Ondrea), Elizabeth Degroff (Aaron), Sara Brown (John) and Matt Strong; her siblings, Janet Lee Wireman, Grover Duane and Robert Gene Umphryes; her grandchildren, Dominick, Cassidy, Abby, Avalyn, Henry, Mackenzie, James, Kaitlyn and Aubrey; her son Keith Richard Whited; and her brother Terry Lee Umphyres (Alan Lee Strong). She was also cherished by mother to her six children and grandmother to her 9 grandchildren.
She was also a professional comedian for over a decade, and most recently a local painter; selling and donating her beautiful paintings in and around Cortez, CO.
