With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Chester Laurence Backes in Craig, Colorado, who passed away on August 12, 2023 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Jo Backes and Chester Backes. He is survived by : his sons, Larry Backes of Craig Colorado, Randy Backes of Hayden Colorado and Charlie Backes of Fort Lauderdale Florida. He is also survived by his 10 grandchildren, 8 great- grandchildren, and 2 great- great grandchildren.
