She is survived by: her sister Judith Amato (Hughes); her children, Betty Ann Schaefer, William Schaefer (Lisa) and Kevin Kleckler (Carrie); and her grandchildren, Dustin Brown, Brandon Brown, Jason Steed, Alyssa Kurek, Kalynn Schaefer, Marcus Schaefer, Andrew Kleckler, Jenna Kleckler, Lewis Kleckler, Elise Arnold, Clayton Arnold, Mitchell Miesner and Michael Miesner. She is also survived by 16 great-grandchildren.
Viewing was held on Monday, October 19th 2026 from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM at the Grant Mortuary (621 Yampa Ave, Craig, CO 81625). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Craig Christian Church (960 W Victory Way, Craig, CO 81625). A reception was held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Joan Kleckler Scholarship Fund in care of Grant Mortuary, 621 Yampa Avenue, Craig, Colorado 81625.
