He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Coats and Bessie Coats; his wife Kathryn Coats; his siblings, Gary Coats and Lila Masten; his son Mark Coats; and his grandson Seth James.
He is survived by: his children, Lance (Karen Coats), Robin Campbell of Hurricane, UT, Susan (Ronald Vincent), Rex Coats (Julie Mock), Lisa (Steve West), Kimberly (CoCo) and Patrick James of Casper, WY; and his siblings-in-law, Laura Saylor of Phoenix, AZ and Harry Saylor of Bailey, CO.. He is also survived by 19 Grandchildren, 34 Great Grandchildren, and 4 Great-Great Grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the Calendar Saddle Mountain Fellowship Church (3242 Stearman Ln, Crawford, CO 81415).
