He was predeceased by: his parents, John Griffith Nelson and Helen May Perrill Nelson; and his sister Carol Nelson Claney. He is survived by: his close friend Jane Kuan of Crestone, CO; his daughter Jennifer of Albuquerque, NM; his sister Kris Beer (Bob) of Thornton, CO; his nephews, Mike, Cam, Kevin, Tim Claney and Sean Harrison; and his niece Tania Schramm.
