He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Louis and Rebecca Sarver; his wife Brenda Riske; his son Asa (Julia); his grandsons, Caleb and Evan; and his pet Copperfield. He was also cherished by 3 nieces and 4 nephews, a sister and brother-in law and their respective spouses and well as numerous cousins.
