He was predeceased by: his parents, Felix Chavez and Ofelia Chavez (Vigil); his wife Becky Cisneros; and his siblings, Bertha, Joe and Cecelia.

He is survived by: his children, Connie (Mark) and Mark (Jess); his granddaughters, Jessica and Marki (Mitch); his great grandchildren, Avaree and Graycen; and his brother Louie. He is also survived by many nieces, cousins and friends.
