It is with great sadness that we announce the death of DeLyle John Schott in Denver, Colorado, born in Kulm, North Dakota, who passed away on December 7, 2025, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Otto Schott and Esther Schott; his siblings, Myrna and Gilbert; and his brother-in-law W. King Anderson.
He is survived by: his wife Lorelei Schott (Lory); his daughters, Elise Mozell (Dave), Tara Brown (Randy) and Christina Brown (Joe); his grandchildren, Violet Brown and Hudson Brown; his siblings, Wayne Schott (Marcia), Barton Schott (Linsey) and Jeanette Anderson; and his sister-in-law Liane Schott. He is also survived by 5 nephews, 4 nieces.
After his contributions to the space program, DeLyle found his final and longest professional home at IBM, where he built a successful career in project management.
