He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Goodman Nielsen and Mary Louise Nielsen; his brother Leonard Gary Nielsen; and his son Adam Christian Nielsen. He is survived by: his wife Sylvia Ann Nielsen "Jody"; his children, Greg (Courtney), Jon (Claudia), Jeff (Amy), Erica Hamblin (J. J.) and Spencer (Andrea); and his brother Dave Nielsen. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren.
