He was predeceased by: his parents, Olga Victoria and Lloyd Andrew Sever Hjerleid. He is survived by: his wife Carol; his grandchildren, Michael and Luisa; his brother Gene (Linda); David (Margaret) and Karen (David Toleman).
He was a kind man, which was a consistent trait even throughout his illness with Alzheimer's disease.
