He was predeceased by: his parents, Eileen Geist (Vandenberg) and George Geist of Denver, Colorado.; his wife Janice Colleen Borgstahl of Iowa; and his brother Donald. He is survived by: his children, Vickie (Dewayne Blanscet), Valerie (Theodore Smith), Cindy (Bill Rockwood), Andy Geist (Carin), Susan Geist and Juli Nieto; his brothers, Bill and Gary Geist; his great grandchild Alicia (Casey Saunders); and his grandchildren, Taylor Blanscet, Angela, Matthew Smith, Keith (Andrea Rockwood), Nathan Rockwood, Anna, Christian Geist, Caitlin, Lauren English, Dylan, James, Kayelynn and Jessica Nieto.
