Esther P. Chavez Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Esther P. Chavez of Denver, Colorado, who passed away on February 28, 2026, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though her name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Esther leaves upon the hearts of her loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of her spirit and the richness of her legacy.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Pete Solano and Della Lovato. She is survived by: her sons, Ray L. Chavez Jr. (Belinda) and Ken Chavez Sr. (Gina); her siblings, Juanita Ramos, Margaret Goldblatt, Louise Perez and James Solano; and her husband Ray Chavez. She is also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 19th 2026 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Newcomer Funeral Home (901 S Sheridan Blvd, Denver, CO 80226). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 19th 2026 at 11:30 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, March 19th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Fort Logan National Cemetery (4400 W Kenyon Ave, Denver, CO 80236).
