She was predeceased by: her parents, Frederick Gatewood and Captola Gatewood (Nevins); her grandparents, Merle and Wilmetta Nevins; and her son Arron R. Handy.
She is survived by: her daughters, Christina Y. Fisher of Chicago, IL and Theresa R. Gatewood of Denver, CO; and her granddaughter Varis R. Handy of Dallas, TX. She is also survived by loving family members and friends.
