“I don’t recall how I initially got involved with volunteering with “River Watch” and WDTU but Gil was my first contact and the person who encouraged me to get involved & keep coming back. He was an excellent mentor & patient teacher - always taking the necessary time to teach & explain. Will always remember the walks up Clear Creek to the sampling sites talking about everything from fishing to family & the occasional lunch stop for pizza at Beaujo’s. Gil was like a second father. I will miss him”
