With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Iris Johnson of Denver, Colorado, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 31, 2025 at the age of 89. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Iris Johnson to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Simmelink and Dena Kuiken Simmelink; her husband R. Hal Johnson Jr.; and her stepmother Lena Wiersma Simmelink. She is survived by: her children, Dena Johnson Pinsker (Neal Pinsker) and Matthew Johnson (Teri Bearden); her grandchildren, Jordan Nell Fouts, Daniel Matthew Johnson (Lindsey Johnson) and Patrick Thomas Johnson; her sisters, Bonnie Nijenhuis and Shirley Barr; and her nieces and nephews, Alan Gilbronson, Diana Hawkins, Brent Mickey, Heuser Barr (Debra DiSandro) and Weston Barr (Giovanna Barr).
