She was predeceased by: her parents, Tom Jones and Iva Jones (Kuykendall); and her husband Robert Griffin Hunt. She is survived by: her stepson Daniel Edward Hunt (Evan Elizabeth Hunt) of Tulsa; her son Daniel Phillips Hunt of Denver; her stepdaughter Shelly Cecille Hunt of Opelika; her sons, Michael Griffin Maxwell of Knoxville and Robert Graem Maxwell of Atlanta, Georgia; and her close friend Andy.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Mason Chapel at Asbury Methodist Church (6767 S Mingo Rd #1900, Tulsa, OK 74133).
One of the early female business leaders in Tulsa, Joan served as president of Southland Shopping Center, now known as Promenade Mall, and for more than 40 years, she guided the Campbell Lepley Hunt Foundation as its Executive Director.
