Joan Maxine Rather Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Joan Maxine Rather (Denver, Colorado), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 11, 2025 at the age of 90. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Joan Maxine Rather to pay them a last tribute.

Though Joan may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Joan touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. She was predeceased by: her parents, Delbert Diedrich and Ruth Diedrich (Derby). She is survived by: her sister-in-law JoAnn Diedrich; her nieces, Monica and Lisa Diedrich of Denver; and her cousin Steve Derby of Denver.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to MaxFund Animal Adoption Center, a no-kill shelter that was close to Joan's heart.
