He was predeceased by: his wife Joan; his son Scott Onodera; his parents, Tom Onodera and Masako Onodera; and his brother Herb Onodera.
He is survived by: his children, Cheryl Onodera and Denine Onodera-Brown (Wyck Brown); his grandsons, Jeremy Brown (Cassandra) and Austin Brown (Taylor Jane); his great grandchildren, Brinley and Asher; and his siblings, Irene Shibao, Jeanne Kobayashi and Glenn Onodera. He is also survived by numerous other family members and friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 12th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Tuesday, January 13th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM. A Mass was held on Tuesday, January 13th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Most Precious Blood Catholic Church (2200 S Harrison St, Denver, CO 80210). A graveside service was held on Tuesday, January 13th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Olinger Hampden Memorial Gardens (8600 E Hampden Ave, Denver, CO 80237).
