With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Allen Leonard (Denver, Colorado), who passed away on September 28, 2023 at the age of 63. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joan F. Leonard and Donald E. Leonard. He is survived by: his brother Jim Leonard (Amy); his wife Gaye (Peterson); his sons, Bryce (Lindsey), Jim (Betsy) and Will; his brother Bill (Chris); his grandchildren, Charlie, Olivia, Theodore, Remi and Henry; his nieces and nephews, Katie, Laura (Danny), Grace, John and McRae; his father-in-law Jim Peterson; and his brothers-in-law, Ron and Craig (Mavic).
In keeping with his love for nature, the family kindly requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to his fund at the Denver Botanic Gardens, where his memory will forever bloom, much like the wildflowers he cherished on his travels.
