He is survived by: his son James Modig (Jeanne) of Bakersfield, CA.; his wife Judith Lorraine (Eckert-ModigHoffman) of Lakewood, CO; his children, Jean (Wyly) and Jones (Modig-O'Connor); his close friends, Neal Smith Jr. (John) and Bob Belica; and his children, Bob Modig (Toni), Christine "Tina" Mata (Crawford) of San Antonio, TX and Matthew Crawford.
The inurnment will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Fort Logan National Cemetery (4400 W Kenyon Ave, Denver, CO 80236). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at the same location.
