He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Norman Pettey and Marjorie "Tootie" Pettey (Johnson); his grandparents, Ben, Ethel Pettey and Jon; his wife Thap; his daughters, Lauren and Linh; his siblings, Susan Pautz, Karen Pettey and Tom; and his aunts and uncles, Tom, Helen Johnson, Pat and Dick Moe.

It was a hard parting for him when he donated "Dad's Olds" to a good cause after many years of diligent care.
