He was predeceased by: his parents, Gabe Chavez and Josie Chavez; and his siblings, Toby, Mafio, Joe, Gabe, Leonard, Ralph and Margaret.
He is survived by: his son Joe; his wife Tita Chavez; his children, Mary, Josie, Carol Lisa and Bob; his grandchildren, Bobbi, Lindsey, Luke and Christina; Roy and Robert. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
