He is survived by: his wife Jean Charis-Avery; his sister Esther Windmiller; his children, Jodi Burley (Elbert Burley), Jennifer Savig (Stuart Savig) and Ned Avery (Kim Avery); and his grandchildren, Gen Avery, Raymond Avery (Garyu), Seth McEwan, Alicia McEwan, Ashleigh Millison, Jennifer Peppler, Chelsey Lahr, Amber Yaeger, Tanner Avery, Josiah Savig, Tate Savig, Alec Savig, Katrina Savig-Wheeler and Blythe Burley.

We moved to Denver and got reacquainted with Les and family in 1966. Les married my husband Dave and me December 18, 1977 at St. James . Les led the memorial service for my parents who passed away one month apart . He a kind, compassionate and faithfull friend/pastor. He lived a good and active life. My condolences to his family.
