She was predeceased by: her parents, George Joseph Friend and Addie Baril Friend; her siblings, Luverne Schoendaller, Leon Friend, George Ellis Friend and Ralph J. Friend; her husband J. Gerard Bartscherer; her children, John Anthony Bartscherer, Edward "Bart" Paul Bartscherer and Susan; and her sons-in-law, Mike Kyler and George McNeley.
She is survived by: her daughters, Carol McGuire, Dory Smeaton (Brad) and Barb McNeley; and her grandchildren, Maura McCormick (Dick), Meagan Frank (Paul), Gwendolyn Duda, Catherine Hode (Todd), Brett Bartscherer (Janelle), Briana Bartscherer, Emily Kyler, Brendan McGuire (Cortney), Adam Kyler, Sarah Yourtz and Joshua Yourtz. She is also survived by great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family, and lifelong friends.
A funeral service was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the St. Elizabeth's Chapel (1060 St Francis Way, Denver, CO 80204).
