“To Mavis’ son…. Upon trying to call Mavis to wish her (a belated) Happy New Year, I came across the information of her passing. Mavis worked for me for years in Denver and we stayed in touch every holiday. She was a dear, sweet, loving soul with a wonderful attitude towards life. My husband and I quote her still by saying, in her Texan drawl, “ain’t nothin’ you can do about that!” She will be missed. My condolences. With love, Joan Robey”
