Michael B McKee Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Michael B McKee in Denver, Colorado, who passed away on May 25, 2026, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert McKee and Shirley Niederkorn; his stepparents, Tim Niederkorn and Shirley McKee; his parents-in-law, Jerry and Alice Stengel; and his brother-in-law Johnny Stengel.

He is survived by: his wife Nancy Stengel; his children, K. C., Ashley McKee and Matt Hessler; his grandchildren, Marlee, Kaydence, Kaylor McKee, Zach, Avah and Zaylee Hessler; his great grandchildren, Archer and Zennie Hessler; and his siblings, Terry McKee and Kelly (Gina McKee). He is also survived by in-laws, and a large extended family, and many friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in his name to the American Legion Post #36, Gering or Gering Legion Baseball.
