He was predeceased by: his parents, Aiko Iwata and Mataichi Iwata. He is survived by: his wife Louise; his daughter Gayla; his son-in-law Dirk; his grandchildren, Hana and Beckett; and his siblings, Mabel, May and Phil. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
