It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Philemon D. Tevis Sr. of Denver, Colorado, born in Richmond, Indiana, who passed away on April 5, 2022, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father Melvin Tevis; his siblings, Gerald "Jerry" Tevis, Gregory Tevis, Judith Tevis Dejanette and Sharon Tevis Douglas; and his siblings-in-law, Marc Carter and Delisa K. Cox.
He is survived by: his wife Teresa Walker-Tevis (Terri); his children, Phil Tevis, Jr. of Denver and Desiree Tevis of Indianapolis, Indiana; his stepdaughter Toni Satterfield-Johnson (TJ) of Indianapolis, Indiana; his goddaughter Leilea Vanmeter of Richmond, Indiana; his grandchildren, Antaeaus Grant of Indianapolis, Treyvan Dixon of Indianapolis, Shomari Dixon of Indianapolis, Elaijah Dixon of Indianapolis and Thomas "KJ" Johnson of Indianapolis; his brothers, Mike Tevis (Rubina) of Flint, Terence Tevis (Teet) of Richmond, Indiana, Craig Spicer of Richmond, Indiana, Alvin (Vanessa) of Richmond, Indiana, Rick of Richmond, Indiana, Vagas (Cindy Twine) of Richmond, Indiana, Marcel of Richmond, Indiana and Domo Ferguson of Richmond, Indiana; and his sisters-in-law, Monique Ferguson of Indianapolis and Janice Carter of Richmond.
