He was predeceased by: his wife Mamie Skov; and his son Richard Skov Jr.. He is survived by: his grandsons, David M. Skov and Brian Matthew Skov; and his daughter-in-law Judy Skov.

His achievements and contributions to both his profession and his community will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
